چکیده

In order to evaluate effects of different ratios of ammonium and nitrate, on photosynthesis, respiration and fatty acid composition of canola under conditions of salt stress a greenhouse experiment was conducted in Agriculture Research Center of Eastern Azerbaijan, Iran on 2009. The experimental design was completely randomized design arranged in factorial. The first and second factor included four differing ratios of nitrate to ammonium namely 0:100, 25:75, 50:50 and 75:25 and salinity stress namely 0 and 200 mM NaCl, respectively. The results demonstrated that the highest wet and dry weight, leaf area, relative water content, photosynthesis ratio, transpiration ratio and leaf potassium content were obtained from those plants which were treated with nitrate and ammonium in 50:50 ratio under non saline condition. Salinity significantly decreased wet and dry weight, leaf area, relative water content, photosynthesis and respiration ratio and leaf potassium content. It seems that 50:50 ratio protects plants from salinity stress. On the other hand fatty acids content increased on account of salinity stress. In addition, in high ammonium ratios fatty acid content were considerably more than high nitrate ratios. Furthermore, the highest fatty acid content was obtained from 25:75 ratios in other word high ammonium treatments.

تأثیرات کاربرد نسبت‌های مختلف نیترات به آمونیوم بر سرعت فتوسنتز ومحتوی اسیدهای چرب دانه کلزا در شرایط تنش شوری

In order to investigate the effect of different ratios of ammonium: nitrate on the photosynthesis and fatty acid composition in canola (Brassica napus L.) under different levels of salinity, an experiment was conducted as a factorial based on complete randomize design at Agricultural Research Center in East Azerbaijan in 2010. The first factor was different ratios of nitrogen sources to ammoniu...

Effect of dietary canola oil level on the growth performance and fatty acid composition of fingerlings of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

This study evaluated the suitability of canola oil as a source of supplemental dietary lipid for rainbow trout. Triplicate groups of the 30 fingerlings held under identical culture conditions were fed twice daily by iso-nitrogenous, iso-calorific and iso-lipidic diets for eight weeks. Experimental diets consisted of 30.3% protein, 18.7 kJg-1 energy and 16.7% lipid from fish oil (FO), canola oil...

The study aims to determine the influence of frying (shallow and deep) with olive, canola and sunflower oil on fatty acid composition of silver carp < /font>. Frying by olive oil and canola oil increased the monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) significantly (p < 0.05) that consequently decreased saturated fatty acids (SFA), polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and ω-3 fatty acids. Interaction of nitrogen stress and salicylic acid on the physiological characteristics of borage

Deficiency of nitrogen may lead to decrease in yield and yield potential of crop plants. An experiment was done under glasshouse conditions in order to investigate nitrogen levels and salicylic acid interaction on some physiologic traits of borage (Borago officinials L.). In this experiment various levels of nitrogen (including; 27.5, 55, 110, 220 and 330 mg/L from ammonium nitrate) and salicyl...
